We have been confirmed for the Sonisphere Festival on August 1st! The bill is insane this year! Tickets are on sale now!

Kanichiwa, Creepers, Tourists and the rest,
I hope this blog finds you enjoying yourself by whatever means you find necessary. Unless you enjoy doing bad things that i couldn’t
morally endorse. Although my moral capacity is diminishing, so we’ll have to look at this in a case by case manor. One thing I do to counter my questionable alter ego is….Charity!
I trust you’ve all coughed up a few meatballs for the Haitians yeah? Good…nice work. Sadly, there are many challenges in the world today so we must diversify our charitable portfolio.
Madina Lake is playing a benefit show for Darfuri refugee children access to education.
info here:
http://www.rocknraise.org
The show is at Metro in Chicago, Sunday, February 14th. This is a serious cause, if you can get behind it, please do.
The other charity we are involved with is Keep-A-Breast, a charity for breast cancer. we’ve offered various things you can pledge money for so we can raise money and awareness for this organization.
and lastly….we will be performing at Angels and Kings in Chicago on Wednesday, Feb 10th. with Counterpunch. www.angelsandkings.com
there is no charity involved, but the show is FREE!
this is why the Madina Lake bank account rivals the countries debt, but F it, these things matter more than money, always.
Thanks for taking time to read this, and thanks to all of those who get involved with this stuff. You keep the globe spinning.
Much love, carry on with enjoying yourselves…
love,
Madina Lake

ahh finally all back in chicago. west palm sessions turned some amazing things. i’ve always felt like the best bands/records/music come from some seriously tormented creative atmospheres. when we started in w. palm we hadn’t seen each other in a while and although we were all super excited to get back to the writing process, our personal lives had all undergone some heavy sheit. in other words, over the holidays, all 4 of our respective buttholes had been fingered by the rapist that is life.. so artsy, so perverse, yet… so true. it’s poetry really. hah i’m retarded, somebody get me off this thing. anywhoooo the good news is that it’s all getting sorted now and this Dresden Codex EP (as cliche as this will sound) .. is the best ML yet. I’ve always said that when our music stops moving me, it’s time to wrap it up. perhaps it’s the universe compelling us forward but when I thought we were depleted, we somewhat miserably created our most inspired work to date. and such is life, riddled with highs and lows. you couldn’t appreciate the highs without the lows and remember that as bad as things can get, they will ALWAYS get better. that is a promise. hope you are all well. we’re off to Scotland in a few days, then wrapping up the EP and heading back to UK/Europe in March. hope you are all happy healthy and horny.. i know i am. skeeert
xoxo

we’re arriving in west palm beach to write. we have no idea what to expect but we want you to be a part of it.
we’ll be chatting tomorrow, wed january 13 at 2pm EST on www.ustream.tv under username “madinalakeband”
last night i pissed on my kitchen floor and puked in the sink. it’s a long story and i’d hate to bore you with it so instead i’ll just tell you that we’re on our way to west palm beach florida to begin recording an EP! so excited.. we’re staying at a house on the beach and plan to write and record as much as possible until they make us tour again. which reminds me.. UK dates have been released! Europe will be added to the back of that tour and those dates will go up soon. I think we’re bringing Innerpartysystem .. not positive yet but I think so. they rule. Anyhow, we’re planning to release an EP of some of the new songs to bridge the gap between Attics and the next LP. we’ve got the whole thing mapped out and just need to confirm the release dates. new stuff sounds a bit more like FTTUTY.. we went into the ATTICS sessions wanting a polished sounding record but this time around we’re looking to go more raw, nipple twisting rock. i don’t know what that means but it sounds fun. In the meantime we’ll be posting a ton of videos on our kyte player of us partying on the beach, making douchers of ourselves and yeah probably some of the writing/recording process. UK kids - we’re planning a killer show so get your tickets ! US kids- we’ll be back in late April. European kids- we’ll be there after the UK in April. Japanese kids- we had a blast with you in december, be back ASAP! Australian kids- you rule, we’re desperate to come back and see you guys. South American kids- we’re workin on it, I swear. Chinese kids - ummmmm hi ?
Hey everyone,
Were coming back to the UK in March and April! The first set of dates are below and we’ll be adding more shows shortly. Get your tickets asap because these shows will sell out! -ML

The band is busy playing their asses off, but Matthew had time to send along this note for everyone on this tour.
“In Madina Lake we call this our “cruising altitude.” It’s a stretch of shows or a tour, or just a general sub-conscious of the band that feels euphoric. We are firing on all pistons. We spent the summer slugging it out on Warped tour, which was a lot of work. It was rewarding but we felt a bit restrained. I compare it to the Taste of Chicago. It’s fun, it’s hot and there’s a shitload of people there everyday, but instead of sitting down and having a complete meal in custom designed dining area, you’re just sampling a few bits from a hundred different restaurants.
We prefer to have a captive audience so we can focus on taking them for a ride. This tour with Papa Roach has afforded us exactly that opportunity. Another refreshing characteristic of this run is the audience. It’s no scene contest. These are people who appreciate how music has enriched their lives and they’ve shown up for an uninhibited escape.
We are lucky as hell to be here.”
Madina Lake are going on tour with Papa Roach in the UK and ahead of time Dan answered questions at Save a Scream.
Matthew Leone gets an interview right here.
