the record is pushed back 1 week, as you know. may 4 UK, may 5 USA. thanks for your patience, trust it’s for good cause.
it has been fascinating to speak to various journalists and to acquire a general essence about how the record is being perceived. i should say we are absolutely flattered and humbled so far about the kind words people have had to say about it.
what matters most of course is you all, so we’re still excitedly anxious.
radio shows are being added across the states for april and may. more international fests and short runs will be announced soon for the time before warped kicks off.
many updates and tidbits are forthcoming.
now is a good time to focus on the detail.

Thursday, March 5th, 2009we just filmed 2 30 minute segments for a japanese tv show where madina lake have just opened a bar in shibuya. everyone here is so nice. they’re always bowing and saying “hi!” but in a voice like they’re simultaneously karate chopping a wooden block out of your hands. tonight we get to go see Finch at club Quattro (a club owned by Jamiroqui, then Kato and Koji from Road Runner are taking us to a bad ass Korean BBQ joint. Geez has been dying to karaoke “love is a battlefield” because he agrees with the sentiment of that song…so perhaps after some saki bombs, we’ll hit the shibuya circuit.

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009let’s see if this works. we’re in shibuya, which is that Time’s Square lookin joint in Tokyo Probably the coolest place we’ve ever been. Just climbed down these dark winding stairs off of a small alley, hopped across some stone tiles over koi ponds….took off our shoes and stepped into this crazy restaurant with fish hanging over flames everywhere. if we figure out that kyte player, i’ll show you the video.
Australia, thank you ever so much for your energy, we had a mind blowing stay in your lovely land. Mateo got a picture with Trent Reznor, so his life is made.
Now we’re in Tokyo. I’m tan and very tall.
