Blog Update from the Band

Kanichiwa, Creepers, Tourists and the rest,

I hope this blog finds you enjoying yourself by whatever means you find necessary. Unless you enjoy doing bad things that i couldn’t
morally endorse. Although my moral capacity is diminishing, so we’ll have to look at this in a case by case manor. One thing I do to counter my questionable alter ego is….Charity!

I trust you’ve all coughed up a few meatballs for the Haitians yeah? Good…nice work. Sadly, there are many challenges in the world today so we must diversify our charitable portfolio.

Madina Lake is playing a benefit show for Darfuri refugee children access to education.

info here:
http://www.rocknraise.org
The show is at Metro in Chicago, Sunday, February 14th. This is a serious cause, if you can get behind it, please do.

The other charity we are involved with is Keep-A-Breast, a charity for breast cancer. we’ve offered various things you can pledge money for so we can raise money and awareness for this organization.

and lastly….we will be performing at Angels and Kings in Chicago on Wednesday, Feb 10th. with Counterpunch. www.angelsandkings.com

there is no charity involved, but the show is FREE!

this is why the Madina Lake bank account rivals the countries debt, but F it, these things matter more than money, always.

Thanks for taking time to read this, and thanks to all of those who get involved with this stuff. You keep the globe spinning.

Much love, carry on with enjoying yourselves…
love,
Madina Lake

I applaud your charity work, but…

It’s spelled konnichiwa. Among other spellings, of course, but what you have is completely wrong. I’ll teach you guys proper Japanese some day, though.

You should do a charity event for the people in the United States who still suffer. I mean, the Darfur and Haiti stuff is bad, but just because America makes a lot of money, we get guilt-tripped into picking up the bill for other countries’ fuckups or natural disasters. There’s still homeless people all over the US, people suffering cancer, mental illness… And people are off being philanthropic in third world countries.
